Max Cheeseman
Max B. Cheeseman, age 68, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, died October 5, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
He was born October 10, 1950, in Union City, IN, to John R. and Doris M. (Hildbold) Cheeseman. His father is deceased; his mother survives in Berne, IN.
On January 6, 2012, he married Denice (Lennartz) Cheeseman, who survives.
Also surviving are his sister, Jill and Dr. John Bowling of Bourbonnais, IL; his beloved step children, Michelle and Ashley Reichert, Fountaintown, IN; Elizabeth and Shawn DeWitt, (Jackson, Jenna and Claire), Urbana, OH; and Kurt and Mary Theurer (Abraham), Portland, IN.
In addition, he will also be missed by Melissa and Jeff Hoying (Ashton, Preston, Kierston and Easton), Fort Recovery, OH; and Valerie and Deron Blasingame (Myles, Marcel, and Morgan), Coldwater, OH.
He was a 1968 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, attended Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, IL, and The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.
He was employed with Cheeseman Trucking, Fort Recovery and was a member of the Mercer County Elks, Celina, OH.
Max loved playing golf and spending time at their winter home in Naples, FL.
Services are 1:00 pm Friday, October 18, 2019, at the Social Corner at Swiss Village, Berne, IN, followed by a celebration of Max's life and luncheon. His brother-in-law, Dr. John Bowling is officiating. Burial will be at Spring Hill Cemetery, Fort Recovery at a later date.
The family will receive friends 5:00 pm-7:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Brockman - Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Contributions can be made to the John and Doris Cheeseman Fort Recovery High School Scholarship Fund.
A scholarship in Political Science and History will be established in memory of Max at Olivet Nazarene University.
