Lori A. Slawinski, 50, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Memorial Hospital of Union County with her husband and sister by her side.
A 1987 graduate of Celina High School, she went on to the University of Toledo where she completed the paralegal program. She worked as a Legal Project Specialist for Safelite Auto Glass. She also was a paralegal for Thirty-One Gifts and Bath & Body Works. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Marysville Moose.
Known for her unique fashion sense and style, her creative and artistic gifts carried over into all areas of her life. She loved making crafts of any kind, but her greatest passion came from scrapbooking. So much so that she was the co-creator of Scrapscription, a scrapbooking company she helped create specifically for documenting of memories through scrapbooks. She also loved music and going to concerts, or making sure to take control of the radio to be the designated "DJ" while riding in the car. She was so proud of her "Black Hemi." It was a prize for a MOPAR girl. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the Outer Banks and to Cabo, was always up for a good Craft Beer Festival or tasting and certainly had the QVC app and website mastered. She was also looking forward to the start of the Notre Dame football season along with her husband, Gregg.
Born July 5, 1969 in Celina, she was the daughter of late William and Patricia (Eilts) Kessen.
On October 24, 1998, she married Gregg Slawinski and he survives in Marysville. She is also survived by a sister, Jodi (Will) O'Steen of Zephyrhills, FL; mother and father-in-law, Tom and Eloise Slawinski of Swanton; brother and sister-in-law, Matt (Susie) Slawinski of Defiance; a nephew, Noah Slawinski and her fur babies, Gabby and Phoebe.
