Joseph Prenger
Joseph W. Prenger, age 60, of Celina, died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at The James Cancer Center in Columbus.
He was born November 30, 1958 in Coldwater, to Mildred D. (Winner) Prenger and the late Leonard Prenger. His mother survives in Coldwater. On March 5, 1983, in Chickasaw, he married Rita (Homan) Prenger and she survives in Celina.
Joe is also survived by children, Angel Prenger serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in South Korea, and Vincent Prenger of Celina, three grandchildren, Danielle, Evelynn, and Helix. He is also survived by siblings and in-laws: Mike & Pat Prenger, Marilyn & Dennis Berning, Tom & Marty Prenger, Jerry & Diane Prenger, Kathy & Chris Evers, Paul & Kathy Prenger, Betty & Brian Anderson, Janet & Doug Fledderjohn, Theresa & Gary Diller, and Karen & Mark Overman, Norbert & Joan Homan, James & Deb Homan, Robert & Lisa Homan, Cheryl Reynolds, Marty & Dale Borchers, Neal & Kathy Homan, Charles & Tammy Homan, Evelyn & Chris King, Edwin & Angie Homan, Kathy & Steve Bohman, Karrie & Bob Will.
In addition to his father, Joe is preceded in death by his son, Curtis Prenger, his mother and father-in-law, Maurice & Joann Homan, and a brother-in-law Billy Reynolds.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, where he served many years as an usher. He was a member of the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, and a graduate of Coldwater High School, Class of 1977. He was employed at Reynolds and Reynolds.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 2, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Celina.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 1, and from 9:00 to 9:45 AM on Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
