Sherman Henderson
Sherman "Eckie" Henderson, 68, of Saint Marys, died 12:39 P.M. Monday, July 1, 2019, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 23, 1950, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, the son of Garnett and Gertrude (Workman) Henderson. He married Judith Mabry on April 25, 1970, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his daughters: Sherry (Bob) Putt of Saint Marys; Rana (Bill) Goodwin of Saint Marys; by his 8 grandchildren: Michael L. Silver; Bill Goodwin; Wyatt Goodwin; Suzanne May; Kerri Nichols; Sarah Thobe; Mercedes Salisbury; Shelby Goodwin. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, and by his siblings: Melinda Henderson of Olive Hill; Brenda Henderson of Olive Hill; Joe Henderson of Olive Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings Billy Henderson; Lonnie Henderson; Donna Bond; Danny Henderson.
Eckie was retired from the Saint Marys Foundry. He had attended school in Olive Hill, Kentucky, and he loved taking care of his yard; fishing; and working on old, junk cars. He loved his dogs very much!
Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 5, 2019, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Bob Warren, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held.
Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
