* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Ted Hess
Ted A. Hess, age 42 of Coldwater, died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at his home.
He was born February 10, 1977 in Coldwater to Nick & Janice (Droesch) Hess of Coldwater. On June 10, 2006 he married Stacy (Wendel) in St. Wendelin and she survives in Coldwater.
He is also survived by a son Peyton at home; brothers, Neil & Marsha in Ft. Loramie, Bill & Angie in Westerville and Joe & Gina in Coldwater; parents-in-law Ernie & Marilyn Wendel of St. Wendelin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe & Becky Wendel, Julie & Brad Bergman, Scott Wendel, Eric Wendel and Keith Wendel all of St. Henry; and nieces and nephews: Nathan, Emily, Ashlee, Drew, Bree, Sophia, Cody, Norah, and Melody.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joe & Leona Droesch and Gerald & Betty Hess and a brother-in-law Ryan Wendel.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater; he attended Coldwater High School and worked at Cooper's in Philothea (formerly Hemmelgarn & Sons).
Ted's favorite holiday was Christmas. He loved to follow the Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes and playing ball with his son Peyton. He enjoyed remote cars, train sets, listening to the rain and hiking.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Friday, July 5, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 pm on Thursday, July 4th and 9 to 10 am Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
