Coldwater first responders work at the scene of an accident in which a van struck a child riding a bicycle at the intersection of North Elm and West Vine streets on Monday morning. Police chief Jason Miller said the child was alert and conscious after the accident and had been transported to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater with minor injuries. No further information was available at press time.
