Local man shot, dies

LIMA - A 25-year-old St. Marys man died in Lima after being shot on Friday night, according to a Lima Police Department news release.
Police officers responding to a shooting at 405 Orena Ave. at approximately 6:55 p.m. found Dustan Purdy suffering from a single gunshot would, the release stated.
Purdy was reportedly transported to Lima Memorial Health System where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation. Investigators are not releasing any other information at this time.
