U.S. Rep. Warren Davidson, R-Troy, on Friday at the Celina Education Complex signs a proclamation declaring April 8-12 the Week of the Young Child and recognizing the importance of early childhood educators such as those at Mercer County Head Start. Davidson also lauded the Cooper Family Farm Foundation for providing roughly $7,000 in grant funds to the program, more than double what Mercer County Head Start originally applied for, which will pay for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics kits and food supplies for families in need.
