Evelyn E. Rupert, age 94, of St. Marys, Ohio passed away at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Vancrest of St. Marys.

She was born February 15, 1925 in McDonald, Ohio to the late H. Elwood and Leona (Althoff) Eckhart.

On May 9, 1945, she married Ross Rupert Jr., and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2004.
  Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Pete Rappold) Meyer, Bowling Green, Ohio, and Barbara (G.C.) Thompson, St. Marys; a brother, Kenneth (Helen) Eckhart, Celina; four grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sara) Meyer, Portage, Ohio, James (Tracy) Toler, Celina, Ohio, Scott (Brenda) Meyer, Wayne, Ohio, and Carla Toler-Shortridge, St. Marys, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Melvin Eckhart; and one great-granddaughter, Jessica Ginter.
  Evelyn was a 1943 graduate of New Bremen High School. She retired as a bookkeeper from Beatrice Foods Company in New Bremen after 25 years of service.
  Evelyn's favorite pastimes were watching Cincinnati Reds baseball, and watching Ohio State Buckeyes football. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
  She was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, where she was involved in many different groups and sang in the senior choir, and former Woodman of the World of New Bremen.
  Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 in Cisco Funeral Home, St. Marys, Ohio, with Rev. Becky Erb Strang and Kevin Koeper officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Willow Grove Cemetery near New Bremen, Ohio.
  Memorials contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
