Shelby Bey
Shelby Lynne Bey age 27, of Versailles passed away at 3:15 AM on Friday, November 16, 2018, in Versailles.
Shelby was born June 5, 1991, in Greenville to Jerry & Sundra (Wakefield) Bey III of Versailles and Michael Heaton of Russia.
In addition to her parents, Shelby is also survived by her brothers, Bo Bey of Versailles and Cael Bey of Versailles; sister, Brett Bey of Versailles; maternal grandmother, Rita M. Wakefield of Versailles; paternal grandparents, Jerome & Bonnie Bey Jr. of Versailles; paternal great-grandmother, Loretta Bey of Versailles; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Shelby was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Vaughn G. Wakefield; maternal great-grandparents, Zeno & Julianna Brackman and James & Thelma Wakefield; paternal great-grandparents, Jerome F. Bey Sr. and Al & Ruth Hoelscher; aunt, Melissa Wakefield; and uncle, Daniel Wakefield.
Shelby worked at Briarwood Village in Coldwater where she was a STNA. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles. She was a 2009 graduate of Versailles High School and in 2014 she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree at Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
