* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Leonard Bruns
Leonard J. Bruns, age 80, of Maria Stein, passed away on July 14, 2018 at his home.
He was born in Maria Stein Ohio on February 16, 1938 to the late Edward J. Sr. & Cecelia J. (Albers) Bruns.
He is survived by children: Barb & Allen Brunswick, Maria Stein, Bonnie & Gary Lochtefeld, St. Rose, Patty & Don Meiring, Osgood, Mike & Julie Bruns, Fort Recovery, 13 grandchildren: Kendra & Ben Siefring, Heather & Brad Homan, Jason, Lance, Logan Brunswick, Michelle & Kevin Schwieterman, Stephanie & Garret Waterman, Christopher Lochtefeld, Melinda, Kurt & Lauren Meiring, Matt & Katie Bruns, 4 great grandchildren and expecting 1 more, brother Wilfred & Lene Bruns Tipp City, in-laws Elaine Bruns, Coldwater & Irene Bruns, Chickasaw.
He was preceded in death by brothers & sisters-in-law: Alvin & Alice Bruns, Norbert, twin Lavern & Marilyn Bruns, Edward Bruns, Jr., infant brothers Sylvester, Herbert & Joseph.
He was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein and a member of the Men's Sodality. He was also a member of the Knights of St. John and the American Legion in Maria Stein.
Leonard was in the first graduating class from Marion Local High School in 1956 and he served in the US Army from 1959 to 1960, stationed in Fort Knox KY. He was a lifelong farmer and worked at Stolle Corp and Cooper Farms. Leonard was also an avid Marion Local Flyer fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at St. John Catholic Church, Maria Stein with Rev. Gene Schnipke, Celebrant. Burial will take place after the service with full military honors at St. John Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Wednesday, July 18 from 3 to 8 pm and Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
The family requests donations be made to the Cancer Association of Auglaize County.
