Gas spilled at station

St. Marys Fire Department and Auglaize County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management personnel respond to a reported gas leak on Saturday at Kroger Fuel Center at 475 Fortman Drive, St. Marys. Witnesses said a nozzle had fallen out and continued pumping fuel onto the ground as a trucking company driver fueled up, homeland security director Troy Anderson said. The driver reportedly paid for the gas and then drove off, Anderson said. Fire department personnel were able to contain the spill. An environmental company cleaned the spill, Anderson noted.
