Law essay winners

Winners of the 2018 Law Day Essay Contest, front row, third, fourth and fifth from left, pose with members of the Mercer County Bar Association and elected officials in the Mercer County Common Pleas courtroom. The winners and the prizes they received were David Kramer, son of Gregory and Hellen Kramer, first place, $100; Malcom Head, son of Tim and Becca Head, second, $75; and Zach Stein, son of Doug and Lisa Stein, third, $50. All three are from Celina schools. More than 50 essays were submitted by students from Celina, Marion Local and Parkway schools. This year's Law Day theme was "Separation of Power: Framework for Freedom." The winners and their parents and teachers attended a luncheon and awards presentation on Monday at the courthouse.
