Joan Walker
Joan E. Walker, age 79, of Montezuma, Ohio, died on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born November 30, 1938 in Carthagena, to the late Andrew & Monica (Droesch) Schoen. On November 26, 1983 she married Archie L. Walker and he died March 19, 2013.
She is survived by two step daughters Debbie & Ronnie Williams and Tami Walker all of Rock Hill, SC; seven step grandchildren; twelve step great grandchildren; a brother Robert & Roseann Schoen of Montezuma; a sister Mary Fleming of Pennsylvania and several nieces and nephews.
She is also preceded in death by a stepson, Ricky Walker and a brother-in-law Richard Fleming.
She retired from Midwifery after delivering over 1,500 babies. She was a Companion of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, volunteered at Radio Maria, and enjoyed square dancing as a member of the St. Marys Tri Squares.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
