Eugene Droesch
Eugene S. Droesch, age 75, of Coldwater, died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his home.
He was born May 9, 1942, in Dayton to the late Joseph & Leona (Rosenbeck) Droesch. On September 1, 1969 in Sharpsburg, he married Janet (Nerderman) Droesch, and she passed October 17, 2003.
Gene is survived by his six siblings: Cyril & Mary Ann Droesch of St. Henry, Marita & Ernest Staugler of Coldwater, Jerry & Kathy Droesch of St. Henry, Margie Meiring of Piqua, Robert & Shirley Droesch of St. Henry, and Janice & Nick Hess of Coldwater, and in-laws: Ruth Nerderman of St. Henry, Robert & Linda Nerderman of St. Henry, and Gerald Rosenbeck of Ft. White, FL.
He is preceded in death by a sister in law Mary Rosenbeck.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. Gene worked at the former Mercer Beverage Distributors in St. Henry for over 39 years. He volunteered on the St. Henry Fire Department for three years, and later volunteered at St. Peter Neurological Center from 1987-1998 and at the Gardens at St. Henry from 2005-2014. Gene loved playing cards and visiting with friends and family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday and 9 to 10 AM Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the Center of Neurological Development in Burkettsville or the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
