* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Parkway edges Antwerp 6-5

Parkway scored three runs in the fifth and one more in the seventh before holding off a determined Antwerp squad to pick up a 6-5 win on Monday in Paulding County.

Bailey Bates had a big day for Parkway, finishing just a single shy of hitting for the cycle with a double, triple and a fifth inning three-run home run that helped the Panthers take a 5-2 lead. Bates finished with five RBIs in the game.

It was Bailey Strickler's RBI single in the top of the seventh that put Parkway in front 6-2 that proved big as the Archers scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to get within a run before Lauren Henderson got the final out to record the save.

Macy Henkle got the start for Parkway and pitched 4 2/3 innings of four-hit softball with seven strikeouts to earn her first varsity win.

Parkway returns to action Thursday when the Panthers host Elida.
