Celina firefighters and squad members tend to the scene of a two-vehicle fatal accident on U.S. 127 near Brown Road in Celina on Friday afternoon.

CELINA - A Celina man was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon that also also reportedly injured a New Bremen man.
Joshua Bruns, 37, New Bremen, was heading north on U.S. 127 in a 2015 Isuzu box truck sometime before 2:40 p.m. when he reportedly maneuvered his vehicle left of center for an unknown reason, according to a Mercer County Sheriff's Office news release.
Bruns' truck reportedly struck a southbound 2005 Chevrolet sports utility vehicle operated by Aaron Rose, 40, Celina. The impact of the collision reportedly pushed the SUV through a guard rail and the vehicle rolled onto its side, the release indicated.
Mercer County Coroner Timothy Heinrichs reportedly pronounced Rose deceased at the scene, the news release stated.   Lutheran Air was called to the scene and transported Bruns to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, according to the news release.
This marks the first automobile fatality of 2018, sheriff Sheriff Jeff Grey told the newspaper.
The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by Celina squad members and firefighters, Mercer County Emergency Response Volunteers and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
A long stretch of U.S. 127 from State Route 703 to Logan Street, Celina, was closed from the time of the accident until 6:01 p.m. The accident remains under investigation.
