Alta Jean Kuhn
Alta Jean Kuhn, age 93, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at 1:15 am at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio.
She was born March 9, 1924 in St. Marys, Ohio to the late Clarence L. and Mildred (Nolan) Warthman. On November 1, 1946 she married Clarence E. Kuhn and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, John Kuhn, Celina, and Doug (Sheryle) Kuhn, Celina; five grandchildren, Lizbeth, John, Ryan, Hayley, and Lindsey; and seven great grandchildren, Livia, Gabriel, Anabel, Emme, Carolina, Charlie, and Berkeley.
Alta Jean is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Kuhn; a brother, Lloyd Warthman; and two sisters, Madonna Checkeye, and Martha Lou Dammeyer.
She was a 1942 graduate of Celina Senior High School. She retired from the Celina Insurance Group after 23 years of service.
Alta Jean was a member of the Celina First Church of God, the Sunshine Singers in Celina and a life member of Celina VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed writing poetry, listening to music, crocheting, and communicating with her grandchildren through her iPad.
Visitation hours will be from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Thursday morning in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Richard Van Horn officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina, OH.
Contributions can be made to State of the Heart Hospice, American Cancer Society, and/or the donor's favorite charity.
