* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Catherine Hamrick
Catherine Faye "Kate" (Luginbill) Hamrick, 88, of Willshire, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:50 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
She was born January 14, 1930 in Adams County to the late Vilas E. Luginbill and Ruth (Parr) Luginbill. Kate married Clarence Lowell Hamrick on February 25, 1949 (just short of 69 years of marriage!) and Clarence survives at the Hamrick Homestead.
She is also survived by five sons, Dennis (Connie) of Rockford, William (Lequetta), Max (Nina) of Willshire, Timothy (Tammy) of Ohio City, Carey L. (Jennifer) of Willshire and two living daughters, Debra (Daniel) Miller of Rockford and Kimberly (Donald) Trisel of Farmington, WV. Kate was the matriarch of a family of 22 Grandchildren and 32 Great-Grandchildren. Surviving is one Sister, Marilyn (Gerry) Simons of Decatur and a Sister-In-Law, Norma Lee Luginbill of Willshire.
Kate was preceded in death by a daughter, Janalee Hamrick on October 22, 1987; two brothers, Gene and Robert (Patricia) Luginbill; and sister, Alice (James) Sirk.
Kate was actively involved in her community. She was the pianist at Zion United Brethern Church for many years. She was a member of the Christian Women's Association (CWA) and Women's Missionary Fellowship (WMF) at church. Kate was known for her "Monster Cookies" for Bible School.
Kate was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 207, a Stanley Dealer, and Cadets & Whirly Birds 4-H Leader in Adams County. She was a member of the Chattanooga Grange and helped with the Strawberry Suppers for years and was later a member of the Unity Grange. Kate was also known for her dedicated noodle making while at Zion United Brethren, her summer canning, and being an avid collector of toothpick holders.
Funeral services for Kate will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2018, in the Praise Point Church, Willshire, OH with Rev. Brad Kittle and Rev. Mark Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow the services in Willshire Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. in the Praise Point Church, Willshire, Ohio and one hour prior to services Thursday also in the church.
In lieu of flowers, Kate's family requests that preferred memorials are to the Praise Point Church or the Janalee Hamrick Scholarship Fund at Parkway High School.
