Lela Williams
Lela Mae Williams, age 95, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born on April 29, 1922 in Celina, Ohio to the late Clarence and Carrie (Buck) Krogman. On Jan. 29, 1950 she married Kenneth W. Williams, who died Feb. 4, 1969.
Survivors include her children; Karen (Steve) Beougher, Eldon (Jo) Williams, Marilyn (Ron) Dorsten, Marcy (Bill) Wellman all of Celina and Jerry Williams and Tim Strickland of Columbus, eleven grandchildren; Carrie, Aaron, Doug, Katie, Amanda, Brian, Brett, Jenny, Staci, Eric and Amy, twenty-four great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law Ronda Krogman of Celina, and Margaret Grimm of Rockford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter and son-in-law Kathy (Garry) Beam, a brother Lyle Krogman, two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law Fred Grimm and Ernie (Mary) Williams.
She retired from Reynolds & Reynolds. Lela was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina, the Hopewell Grange and the Mercer County Sportsmen Association.
She loved her Ohio State Buckeyes, fishing, and growing giant pumpkins. She enjoyed her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. John Exman officiating. Burial will follow in the Swamp College Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018 and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina.
