* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Gertrude VanDePitte
Gertrude Carlyn Gray VanDePitte, age 94, of Union City, Ohio and formerly of Rossburg, passed away at 1:50 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Gertrude was born March 17, 1923, in Madison County, Ohio to the late Emory & Ruth (Zeigler) Gray.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alidoor Alois VanDePitte; daughter, Carlyn Newbauer; sons, Jerome & Robert VanDePitte; brothers, George & Emory "Bill" Gray; and sisters, Pauline McClure, Lilly Powers and Betty Sampson.
Gertrude is survived by a son, Ted VanDePitte of Dayton; son-in-law, John Newbauer of Rossburg; grandchildren, John & Carrie Newbauer of New Bremen, Hannie & Mark Wolfe of St. Marys, Jason & Anna Newbauer of Ansonia and Jansen & Elizabeth Newbauer of Ohio City; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gertrude formerly worked at Corning in Greenville and was a grandmother to many. She was a member of the Rossburg United Methodist Church; Ansonia Senior Citizens; Ansonia Alumni; Greenville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; Greenville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and formerly the Union City Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.
A celebration of Gertrude's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ansonia Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care or Rossburg United Methodist Church.
