Man gets probation for area break-ins

By Ed Gebert
CELINA - A Henry County man who pleaded guilty last month to two counts of breaking and entering was sentenced on Wednesday to up to three years of probation.
Lewis Frederick Rohda, 18, Malienta, also was sentenced by Judge Jeffrey Ingraham in Mercer County Common Pleas Court to 83 days in jail, which he has already served. In addition, he was placed on community control for up to three years with the possibility of serving 11 months in jail on each count if he violates community control rules. He must also pay $678 restitution to Lake View Liquors.
Rohda in late July reportedly had broken into outside displays and had taken candy and beverages at the Murphy USA gas station on Havemann Road. Shortly after, he reportedly broke into the drive-thru window at Lake View Liquors on East Logan Street, taking cigarettes, alcohol and cash. He reportedly had been seen later that morning walking along East Market Street and was recognized by officers who had viewed surveillance video footage of the incidents.
