* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Louis Hamberg
Louis W. Hamberg, age 89, of Cassella, died on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Briarwood Village.
He was born April 17, 1928 in Coldwater to the late Francis H. & Anna A. (Wertz) Hamberg.
He married Ruth M. Hess on October 14, 1950 and she died January 18, 2016.
He is survived by five children, Connie & Roger Davenport of Montezuma, Nancy & Harry Muhlenkamp of Geneva, Indiana, David Hamberg of Sidney, James Hamberg & Sherry Daniel of Columbus, and John Hamberg of St. Henry; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Weisenberger of Savannah, Georgia and Alma & Roger Henry of Dayton; and in laws, Esther Hess of Montezuma, and Eileen Hess of St. Henry.
He is preceded in death by siblings Irene & Carl Schoenlein, Henry Hamberg, Mildred & Elmer Moeller, Rita & Jerry Didier, Anna & Bobbie Sawyer; and in laws Eleanora & Louis Zumwald, Alma & Richard Ruschau, John Hess, Robert Hess and Robert Weisenberger.
He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cassella, men's sodality of the church, local IBEW #32. He retired from Reynolds Electric, Lima. Louis was a veteran of the US Air Force and enjoyed gardening and carpentry work.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Cassella. Burial with military rites will follow at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
