* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Gary Oldiges
Gary J. Oldiges age 72, lifelong resident of Minster died on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born on April 25, 1945 in Minster, Ohio to the late Herman & Philomena (Ruhenkamp) Oldiges. He married Mary P. Woehrmyer on April 15, 1967 in St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. She survives in Minster.
He is also survived by two children: Ted & Maria Oldiges, and Craig & Dianne Oldiges, all of Minster. His son Jeff Oldiges preceded him in death in 2000. Gary is survived by six grandchildren: Nathan, Hannah, Brandon, Dawson, Kyra, and Brynn, and in-laws: Mary Lou Oldiges, Beavercreek, and Ann & Dave Gossman, Minster.
He was the last of his family, and is preceded in death by siblings Ron Oldiges, and Marlene & Tom Liening, and a sister in-law Deb Woehrmyer.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and the St. Augustine Men's Choir. In 2010 he was awarded the Minster Civic Association Citizen of the Year, and in 2016 was the Minster Oktoberfest Parade Grand Marshal.
Gary was active in the Jaycees the Kiwanis, the Service Club, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the TPA, was formerly a Little League Baseball coach and was on the Minster Oktoberfest Committee.
Gary studied at Miami University where he got his Bachelor's Degree, and later earned his Master's Degree from Wright State University. He retired from Minster Schools after 31 years, where he helped start the learning disability program, the gifted program, and was an assistant high school football coach and a junior high basketball and football coach. Gary was also a member of the NEA and a life member of the OEA.
In addition Gary owned and operated G.O. Decorating in Minster for 45 years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church Minster with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
Friends may call at The Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, September 1 and from 8:30 to 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 2.
