John Heaps
John Stephen Heaps, 69, formerly of Saint Marys, died August 3, 2017, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
He was born October 19, 1947, in Celina, Ohio, the son of John and Phyllis (Armstrong) Heaps.
He is survived by a sister, Kathy Raymond of Saint Marys; a nephew, Jeff Raymond of Cincinnati; a niece, Annie Raymond Chilcott of Carlsbad, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by his brother, David Heaps; by a brother-in-law, Vern Raymond.
John was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served from 1970-72.
Private family burial rites will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Saint Marys.
Donations may be given to the Chapter 73 of the Disabled American Veterans, Wapakoneta.
