Teresita Moosbrugger
Teresita Deboma Moosbrugger, 72, of Monroe, N.C., affectionately known as Tess or Tessie, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Carolina's Medical Center in Monroe.
She was born on July 4, 1944 in the Philippines, daughter to the late Cresenciano Deboma and Felisa Daguia Deboma. In addition to her parents, siblings Dolores Deboma and Abelardo Deboma also preceded her in passing.
Tess was married to Richard C. Moosbrugger Jr. on April 25, 1969. They resided in Celina, Ohio for 40 years before retiring to North Carolina. While in Celina she was a Realtor and also worked for Huffy Bicycles.
Family was the most important thing in life to her. She loved to cook, bake, garden and take care of her plants. Tess was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. After moving to North Carolina, she attended St. Luke's Catholic Church in Mint Hill, NC.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Her smile and infectious personality made even a stranger believe that they were longtime friends. She took great pride in her children and often embellished stories about their latest exploits.
Her love for her husband was evident when she left her home and family in the Philippines in 1970 to a new life in Ohio. Her work ethic of working two jobs while raising a family set an example for her kids to emulate.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Richard C. Moosbrugger, Jr. "Dick"; children Maria Hope Jackson and husband Ainsworth Jackson, Sr., Richard Charles Moosbrugger, III "Rick" and wife Heather, Robert Francis Moosbrugger "Bob" and wife Esther, David John Moosbrugger and wife Trish; grandchildren Ainsworth Jr., Adonis, Zach, Jake, Landon, Duncan, Sterling, Andrew, Vincent, Kai, Brooks; and great-granddaughter Lorelai; mother-in-law Frances Moosbrugger; brother-in-law Mark Moosbrugger and wife Kathy; sister-in-law Becky Lingmann and husband Michael; sisters living in the Philippines Emelita Deboma, Irene Casison, Aida Deboma Guevarra, Cynthia Deboma Castro.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
"Tessie didn't care what you wore to church as long as it was clean and respectful, she just wanted you to go. Please dress casual and respectful for church."
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Mrs. Moosbrugger.
