Anita Cisco
Anita L. Cisco, age 75, of Celina, OH passed away at 3:30 pm on Friday, April 21, 2017, at JTDM Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born December 13, 1941 in Lima to the late William and Alma (Brodbeck) Cisco.
Survived by her companion of 50 years, Arnold Fast of Celina; and numerous cousins.
Also preceded in death by two infant brothers.
Anita was a 1959 graduate of Celina Senior High School. She retired in 2008 from Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina after 45 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys.
Anita and Arnold bred, raised and raced standard bred horses for 40 years. They raced in OH, IN, IL, MI, PA and KY. She was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association, and the Scioto Downs Sulky Sweeties. She was also a past member of the Mercer County Harness Horsemen's Association.
She was an avid genealogist, and was a member of the Mercer County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, First Families of Ohio, First Families of Mercer County, OH, Hamilton County, OH, Butler County, OH, and Fayette County, OH.
She enjoyed exhibiting flowers and vegetables at the Mercer County Fair, playing cards, and was always sending birthday, anniversary, and sympathy cards to relatives and friends.
Anita was a very special friend to many Amish families.
Visitation hours will be from 2-8 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday morning in the Cisco Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Ed Bray officiating; the family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Wabash, OH.
