* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Elsie Laffin
Elsie Elizabeth Laffin, age 83, of Lima, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at her residence.
She was born December 13, 1933 in Mendon, to the late Richard & Alma (Rhoades) Skiles. Elsie married Rev. Kenneth E. Laffin on August 3, 1951, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2011.
She is survived by 2 Sons: Keith (Lori) Laffin of Bedford and Brian (Alicia) Laffin of Brunswick, a Daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Harrison of Lima, a Brother, Richard (Marie) Skiles Jr. of Meridian, Idaho, 8 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 2 Step-Grandchildren, 1 Step-Great Grandchild, and 2 Brothers-in-law: Jerry (Nancy L.) Laffin of Coldwater and Robert (Nancy K.) Laffin of Celina.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Elsie had supported her husband in his ministry that began in 1951. A Church of God pastor, Rev. Laffin served at Mount Tabor and Fairview, Celina; Sugar Ridge, Convoy; Olive Branch, Rockford; Union Chapel, Bryan; Ney Church of God; and the Brackenridge, PA Church of God. Elsie also served on many conferences for the Churches of God General Conference.
She was a 1951 Graduate of Mendon-Union High School, and a member of the College First Church of God in Findlay.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, at Mount Tabor Church of God, 9744 US Route 127 N, Celina, with Pastors David Green and William Reist, officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling Hours are 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, and an hour prior to time of services on Wednesday, at the church.
