Salome Streacker
Salome M. (Hemmelgarn) Streacker, age 94 of Englewood, formerly a long time resident of Maria Stein, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Salome was a longtime blood donor and enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by her daughter: Patricia (John "Jack") Schaefer of Englewood, grandchildren: Mike (Melissa) Schaefer of NE, Jennifer (Bartley) Mollohan of NE, Beth (Jeff) Dubin of MI, 8 great grandchildren, sister-in-law: Mary Phlipot of New Bremen, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Leo Streacker, parents: Joseph and Johanna (Borgerding) Hemmelgarn, guardians: Louis and Josephine (Brandewie) Homan, siblings: Ray (Evelyn) Hemmelgarn, Mark (Hilda) Hemmelgarn, Luella (Vic) Boeke, Henrietta Hemmelgarn, Vince (Helen) Hemmelgarn, Mary (John) Mowery and Joe (Katie) Hemmelgarn, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Bernie (Al) Keller, Nettie (Herb) Schlater, Johnny (Don) Marbaugh, Ed Phlipot and Rosie (Carl) Seitz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church (1000 W. Wenger Road, Englewood) with Fr. Jim Seibert, C.PP.S as celebrant.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Blvd., Englewood) where prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday prior to Mass. Graveside Services will also be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery in Maria Stein, OH.
