Ernest Clune
Ernest Clune (Ernie) 86, passed away April 8, 2017 In Longmont, Colorado.
Born in Maria Stein, Ohio, March 15, 1931 to the late Frederick & Stella (Holheide) Clune.
Ernie is survived by his wife Ann, grandson Jordan Sawyer of Lima, Ohio, sister Vera Gudorf of Tipp City, Ohio, brother Len of Maria Stein and Robert & Susan of Minster, sister-in-law Delores Schwieterman of Maria Stein. Stepdaughters Kate and John Ault of Longmont and Kelly Taylor of Chicago and many nieces and nephews.
Ernie was preceded in death by his daughter Kristine and son-in-law Glenn Sawyer, brother Elmer of Buffalo, NY, sisters Velma Heitbrink and Dorothy Schwieterman of Maria Stein, and Edna Stueve of Dayton.
Ernie served with the Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and retired from National Cash Register (NCR), Lima as a service repairman. Over the years he lived in Lima, St. Marys, Silver Springs Shore, Florida and Longmont, Colorado.
Ernie was an excellent and avid golfer during his long life.
Arrangements were provided by Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, Longmont, Colorado.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.
