Ruth Ross
Ruth L. Ross, 95, of rural Decatur, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born on December 14, 1921 in Celina, OH to the late Charles A. and Myrtle R. (Leistner) Kuhn. On October 27, 1945, she married Jack D Ross. He passed away on June 26, 2008.
She was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. Ruth was a homemaker.
Ruth is survived by 3 sons, Gary J. (Margie) Ross of Decatur, IN; Wayne E. (Sandy) Ross of Ft. Wayne, IN; Stephen J. (Tish) Ross of New Haven, IN; 1 daughter, Janice R. Wittwer of Monroe, IN; 1 sister, Berniece Bott of Ft. Wayne, IN; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John W. Wittwer; 3 brothers, Leroy, Carl and Herman Kuhn; and 3 sisters, Naomi Leininger; Helen Barker and Mary Ellen Hileman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:15 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service in the St. Mary's Parish Hall from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Father Bob J. Lengerich will be officiating and burial will take place in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the St. Joseph Catholic School or Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
