Elizabeth Thieman
Elizabeth J. "Betty" Thieman age 90 of Minster, Ohio passed away February 1, 2017 at Ohio Living Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
She was born in St. Henry, Ohio on July 13, 1926 to Luke & Lorine (Stammen) Beckman. She married Harold A. Thieman on June 26, 1948 in St. Henry, Ohio and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2015.
She is survived by their children: Robert & Elaine Thieman, Loveland, Ohio, Mark & Barbara Thieman, Minster, Ohio, Jim & Tonya Thieman, Sidney, Ohio, Paul Thieman, Sidney, Craig & Kristie Thieman, Louisville, KY, Lynn & Keith Benninghoff, Allentown, PA, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sister Mary & Tom Niekamp, St. Henry, sister-in-law Chris Thieman, Minster, brother-in-law Myrle Vallo, Kettering.
She was preceded in death by sister: Pat & Wally Post, in-laws: Roger Thieman, Hilda & Bob Wehrman, Edna & Rich Frierott, Alice & Urban Poeppelman, Betty Vallo.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Betty was a 1944 graduate of St. Henry High School and a cheerleader. She was a member and two time club champion at Arrowhead Golf Club. She was an avid reader, especially of history, and a member of various card clubs.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 6, 2017 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with Rev. Rick Nieberding celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2017 and from 9:00 to 9:30 AM on Monday, February 6, 2017.
