* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Joann Albers
Joann M. Schulze Albers, age 78, of North Star, Ohio, died on January 18, 2017 at Mercer Health Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born October 8, 1938 in Minster, Ohio to the late Henry & Florence (Weghorst) Wendeln. She married Bernard Schulze on April 11, 1959, and he died January 21, 1981. Joann later married Robert Albers on March 11, 1983, and he survives in North Star.
She is also survived by children: Jeff & Diane Schulze of Fort Loramie, Rick & Lisa Schulze of Willowdell, Deb & David Loewer of Versailles, Brad & Julie Schulze of Fort Loramie, Jill & John VanWasshenova of South Rockwood, Michigan, Mike & Cheryl Albers of Opelika, Alabama, Wanda & Gary Berger of Lebanon, Ginny & Brad Winner of North Star, Karl (Nancy) Albers of North Star and Rose Albers of Huber Heights. Joann is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren; as well as siblings: Jane Wilker, and Marian Meyers, and in-laws: Katie Wendeln, Mary Ann Knapke, Elsie Winner, Bill Miller, Mary & Fred Schmitz, Sister Ann Cecile Albers, Jim & Judy Albers, and Charlene & Herb Homan.
Joann is preceded in death by a grandson, Matt Huelskamp; siblings: Don Wendeln, and Mel Wendeln; and in laws: Lavine Wendeln, Elmer Wilker, Frank Meyers, John Knapke, Vera & Norb Schlater, Ralph Winner, Kate & Gene Bergman, Virginia Miller, Betty & Rich Schulze, and Rita & Alvin Barlage.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, where she retired and formerly served as the church organist. Joann retired from Darke County Health Dept, and was a member of the North Star Legion Auxiliary, and Knights of St John Auxiliary 288.
In her spare time, Joann enjoyed making rosaries, and crocheting afghans and blankets.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star with Fr. David Zink presiding. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.
Friends may call on Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home St. Henry, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Louis Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
