DeMaria meets with local officials on ways to improve education

COLDWATER - State schools superintendent Paolo DeMaria visited local superintendents Tuesday morning to discuss education issues and how people from his department can better connect with local officials.

Minster's pressure leads to 58-49 win over St. Marys

ST. MARYS - In typical fashion, Minster played aggressive defense and relentlessly pounded the ball inside on offense.

CELINA - Mercer County Commissioner Jerry Laffin said he doesn't necessarily oppose raises for board of elections directors.
But their recent raise - 16 percent - is a pretty big increase, one that gave him pause as commissioners must consider all county employees' compensation, he said.
