Steven Hirsch
Steven J. Hirsch, 70, Saint Marys, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at OSU Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born August 7, 1946, in Celina, Ohio, the son of Jerome and Mary (Stroh) Hirsch. He married Kendra Rodeheffer on May 4, 1968, in New Knoxville, and she survives at the residence.
He is survived by his two children: Jerry (Michele) Hirsch of Celina; Amanda (Adam) Vose of Marysville, Ohio. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Zachary Hirsch; Cayden Hirsch; Claire Kuhnle; Nathan Vose. He is survived by his brother, Ken (Tom Hundley) Hirsch of Lima.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a 1965 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He attended the Allied Diesel Mechanic School in Chicago, and he served in the US Army Reserve.
He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Saint Marys, and for many years owned and operated Hirsch Lawn Care Company.
He loved spending time with his family, fishing, and traveling. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 Monday, December 19, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, Father Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to the James Cancer Hospital.
