Everett Wetz
Everett "Lynn" Wetz, 68, Saint Marys, died peacefully in his sleep surrounded by his family at 12:46 P.M. Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
He was born December 23, 1947, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the son of Everett C. and Norma L. (Cline) Wetz. He married Connie Brotherwood on July 1, 1972, and she survives at the residence. They celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this year.
He is also survived by his children: Christopher (Christina) Wetz of Findlay; Stacey Wetz of Spencerville; Robin Walter of Saint Marys; Jeremy Wetz of Saint Marys. He is survived by his ten grandchildren: Logan, Cami and Kellen Wetz of Findlay; Austin Schleeter of Springfield, Ohio; Cole and Spencer Youngpeter of Spencerville; Colin and Alexis Frederick of Saint Marys; Dalton and Morgan Walter of Saint Marys. He is survived by his two great-grandchildren: McKenna and Bentley Stephens of Saint Marys. He is survived by his siblings: David Wetz of Portland, Indiana; Dale Wetz of Portland, Indiana;; Richard Wetz of Cincinnati; Rhoda Kittle of Celina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Marilyn Rodriguez.
Lynn was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School and earned an associate's degree from Wright State University in Electronics. He was a member of Eagles 767 and VFW Post 9289.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Lynn loved playing bingo and Texas Hold'em as well as fishing and camping. He enjoyed coaching youth baseball and watching sports, and was an avid Browns, Buckeyes, Cavaliers and Reds fan.
Funeral rites will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, Pastor Josh Andrew, officiant. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Miller Funeral Home, where memorial gifts may be given to Grand Lake Hospice.
