Local man held after crystal meth, guns discovered in his home

CELINA - Local law enforcement officers reportedly found 31/2 pounds of crystal methamphetamine with a street value of more than $150,000 and guns inside the home and vehicle of a now-incarcerated Celina man, who is believed to be a major drug supplier to the area.
Scott A. Stein, 46, 719 S. Elm St., Celina, was being held this morning at the Mercer County jail on two unrelated warrants. He reportedly was charged on Thursday with possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, and aggravated drug possession, a first-degree felony.
He made his initial appearance this morning in Celina Municipal Court. Bond was set at $1 million subject to 10 percent.
Stein's arrest and the discovery of the crystal meth are the culmination of a 16-month investigation by the Grand Lake Drug Task Force, according to Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey, who gave a news conference this morning.
Law enforcement officials at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday executed a "no knock" warrant at Stein's residence. He was taken into custody at that time.
