Virgil Homan
Virgil A. Homan, age 72 of St. Marys died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Joint Township Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born on October 17, 1943 in St. Sebastian, Ohio to the late Joseph & Viola (Kremer) Homan.
He is survived by siblings Ronald (MaryAnn) Homan of Coldwater, Diana (Carl) DeMange of Versailles, Judy Link of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Lucy (Dr. David) Poeppelman of Ottawa, Leon (Kathy) Homan of New Bremen, David Homan of Chandler, Arizona, Helen (Dennis) Schattel of Bloomington, Indiana, Terese Knapik of Fountain Hills, Arizona, Marlene (Rick) Brunswick of Forest, Dr. Joseph (Nancy) Homan of Park City, Utah, Lisa (Mark) Seitz of Maria Stein, Ann (Craig) Nesbit of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tim (Brenda) Homan of Horton, Kansas; and a special friend Cheryl Reed.
He is preceded in death by siblings Rose Ann Homan and Martin Homan and in-laws, Tom Link and Michael Knapik.
He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church. He graduated from Marion Local High School, served in the US Marine Corp and was a member of the Maria Stein American Legion and the Mensa Society.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at St. Sebastian Church. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery.
Friends may call from 8 to 10 am Saturday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Memorials may be made to the Marion Local Community Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 1, Maria Stein, Ohio 45860.
