As temperatures continue to fall, residual moisture may freeze on roadways. In addition, gusty winds of 25-35 MPH may lead to some snow drifting over roads as well.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

Injury accident

A 2013 Dodge mid-size vehicle rests at the intersection of state Route 118 and Frahm Pike on Monday after a two-vehicle accident that also involved a 2002 Dodge pickup truck. The accident occurred at 9:11 a.m., according to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office accident report. Jeffery Pontsler, 54, 404 W. South St., Rockford, reportedly suffered serious injuries while driving the midsized vehicle and was taken by emergency medical squad to Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
