Tim Nealeigh, known as The Weaver, of Greenville, spins flax during Sunday's inaugural Heritage Day Celebration at the Maria Stein Shrine of the Holy Relics near Maria Stein. Observing the demonstration are Don Claeys, left, Claudia Radermacher, Skip Radermacher and Jackie Claeys. The Claeys are from North Baltimore, Michigan, and The Radermachers are from St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The celebration, which marked the 170th anniversary of the first nuns' arrival in the area, featured a petting zoo and games for children, as well as a pie-baking contest and auction.
