Barbara Lugar
Barbara Nell Lugar, 75 years old of Berne, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on Tuesday, August 5, 1941 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Leland E. Miller and the late Bernice M. (Berg) Miller. She married Merl K. Lugar on March 21, 1998 in Willshire United Methodist Church.
Barbara was a member of Bethel Brethren Church in Berne and the American Legion Auxiliary in Willshire, Ohio.
She was a 1961 graduate of Willshire High School and retired from Berne Furniture Company in 2007 with 41 years of service.
Surviving are her husband, Merl K. Lugar of Bluffton, Indiana; sister, Judith C. Hess of Willshire, Ohio; and brother, Joseph G. (Janet) Miller of Celina, Ohio.
Preceding Barbara in death was a brother, William Lee Miller who was killed in Vietnam in 1967.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in the Bethel Brethren Church in Berne with Pastor Joe Nass officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill (Backesto) Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church.
