* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Christine Bowers
Christine K. Bowers age 48 of New Bremen, OH, died on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 6:10 A.M. at the Lima Memorial Hospital, Lima, OH.
She was born on September 5, 1967 in St. Marys, OH. She was the daughter of the late William Ahlers and Joan (Denney) Ahlers, who survives in New Bremen. On May 24, 1997, she married Tim Bowers who survives near New Bremen.
Also surviving are her children; Allison Bowers of Minster, Eric Bowers, Ashley Bowers and Andrew Bowers, all at home, her brother Mark (Lisa) Ahlers of McCartyville and Melissa (Michael) Schott of New Bremen and several nieces and nephews.
Chris was a member of the Grace Methodist Church in St. Marys and had attended the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. She served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and Pack Leader for five years and was a Girl Scout Leader for seventeen years. She volunteered as the concession stand operator for the summer sports programs at the Bremenfest Park in New Bremen and for the New Bremen High School's sporting events.
Chris was a 1985 graduate of New Bremen High School and a 1988 graduate of Wright State University Lake Campus. She was employed at Crown Equipment Corp. in New Bremen for 10 years and was a stay at home mom, raising her children and babysitting for other children for over fifteen years.
Chris was always a quiet, private person but enjoyed being active with her kids and the community. Her greatest joy was caring for her children and family.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen with the Rev. Becky Erb Strang and Rev. Bev Hurlburt officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, and on Friday one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Cancer Association of Auglaize County or the New Bremen Schools Music or Athletic Boosters.
