Foundations groundbreaking set
$620,000 expansion to consolidate employees at state Route 29 site

CELINA - Foundations Behavioral Health Services will begin a 4,000-square-foot expansion project in September at its state Route 29 location.
The groundbreaking is set for Sept. 1 with a tentative completion date in May, executive director Brian J. Engle said in a news release.
The $620,000 expansion will allow employees from the Pro Drive location in Celina to join their colleagues at the state Route 29 location and house all mental health and substance abuse services under one roof. The two locations have been used since Foundations merged with Gateway Outreach Center in November 2012, Engle said.
The expansion will add 15 offices, a conference room, a doctor's waiting room, two restrooms and additional storage and mechanical space for the facility.
General contractor for the project is Heyne Construction, Minster. Architects for the project are Garmann-Miller & Associates, Minster. Financing has been provided by Citizens National Bank, Celina.
Officials are considering a fundraising campaign to raise money for the project, but no donations have been accepted yet. The campaign could include the donors' names etched on bricks, but nothing has been finalized yet, Engle said.
Foundations officials plan to sell the Pro Drive location, with some potential buyers having already looked at the property, but no offers have been made. The organization will continue to use the building until new construction is complete, Engle said.
The Mercer County Commissioners, representatives from Heyne Construction and Garmann-Miller & Associates and Foundations board members will attend the groundbreaking. Invitations also have been sent to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office and other county officials, Engle said.
