* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Ralph Heil
Ralph A. Heil, 99, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Ralph was born on April 9, 1917 in New Bremen, Ohio to the late Otto and Mabel Heil. He moved to Huntington, Indiana and then to Fort Recovery, Ohio where he was co-partner in the St. Clair Mill.
In 1955, the family moved to Syracuse, Indiana where they built and managed Heil's Haven Apartment Motel on the South East side of Lake Wawasee. He sold the business in 1979. The original structure remains the same and is now known as Pier 355 Condominiums. Many special friendships and memories were made during the 24 years of ownership.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM #539. Ralph enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Jack (Barb) Heil of Fort Wayne, Rex (Karen) Heil, Julia Niles both of Syracuse, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Heil; daughter Gretchen Heil, and sister, Marcel Price.
Ralph will be deeply missed by his survivors, but his wonderful sense of humor, his courage and strength in the face of adversity and his love for his family will always be with us.
Service is 11:00 Monday, August 22, 2016 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 9:00 am until the service and a Masonic service at 10:45 am. Private Cemetery Service in Spring Hill Cemetery in Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children.
