Thursa Sharp
Thursa L. Sharp, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 1:34 A.M. Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community.
She was born October 15, 1934, in Pineville, Kentucky, the daughter of Ed and Ava (Webb) Rhodes. She married Caleb Sharp on October 4, 1954; he preceded her in death on December 13, 2008.
She is survived by her two children: Linda (Venard) Morris of St. Johns, Ohio; Darren (Janet) Sharp of Dublin, Ohio. She is survived by her grandchildren: Danny (Kim) Roller; Matthew (Tara) Morris; Carrie (Dane) Qualls; Victoria Sharp; Eric (Emily) Sharp; Austin Bocook; Autumn Bocook. She is survived by her great-grandchildren: Madison, Caleb, Mitchell, Gabriella, Emily, Alexia, Zoey, Hailey, Lindsay, Jocelyn, Preslee. She is also survived by her siblings: Matt Rhodes of Saint Marys and Pauline Daniel of Saint Marys.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; her siblings Murphy Rhodes; Bertha Wilder; Dorothy Thiebeau; Lowell Rhodes; Delbert Rhodes; Paul Rhodes.
Thursa was a homemaker, and a member of Samaria Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Marys. She was a wonderful cook and enjoying crocheting, quilting and sewing.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Mrs. Sharp's nephew, Pastor Alva Daniel, will preside at the funeral rites. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to the Flagship Missionary Baptist Church.
