Georgeana Kemper
Georgeana K. (Baker) Kemper age 74, of Versailles, Ohio, passed away at 10:16 A.M. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Upper Valley Medical Center Hospice Care Center in Troy.
Georgie was born February 22, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Clarence A. & Agnes (Overman) Baker.
Georgie is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Christopher "Chris" & Shawn Kemper of Versailles; grandchildren, Brittany Kemper of Greenville, Casey & Dustin Swiger of Greenville, Jesse Kemper of Greenville and Adam Kemper of Versailles; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Stump, Aidric Weaver, Alexis Swiger and Adalyn Swiger.
Georgie was also preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Linus on June 15, 2000 whom she married June 22, 1968; brother, C. E. "Pete" Baker.
Georgie was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles and a former CCD Teacher. Georgie was a member and Past-President of the Marie Stein American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Versailles Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Darke County and Past-President of the Versailles Council of Churches.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. James Simons celebrant.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles Emergency Medical Services or Versailles Police Department.
