* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Marjorie Place
Marjorie Jessalyn Place, age 96 died at 3:50 p.m., Monday, July 11, 2016 at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home.
She was born November 20, 1919 in Lima, Ohio to the late Eldon and Daisy Zerkle Shappell. On February 17, 1940 she married Ira Cox Place who died May 16, 2007.
Mrs. Place had worked at Name Plate in Spencerville and was a member of the United Church of Christ. She enjoyed family time and her grandkids, quilting, sewing, cross stitching, and gardening with herbs and flowers. She especially enjoyed making Christmas Eve special for her grandkids with lots of decorations, homemade cookies, candies, and red cake.
She is survived by a son - Timothy J. (Kathy) Place of Wapakoneta; a daughter - Linda (Marvin) Topp of New Bremen; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter - Toyetta Sue (Jay) Hixenbaugh; siblings - Robert D. Shappell, John Shappell, Eunice Dardio, Adrian Shappell, Evadna Thuman, Helen Frazier, and infants Dorothy and Edna Shappell.
Graveside services will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Buckland Cemetery in Buckland. The Rev. Adrian Sunday will officiate.
A celebration of life will begin 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Buckland Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Buckland United Church of Christ; the Auglaize County Chapter of the American Cancer Foundation, and the 4-H foundation.
