* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Marie Schulte
Marie A. Schulte, a resident of Vancrest of Saint Marys Nursing Home, died 4:03 A.M. Friday, June 24, 2016, in Saint Marys.
She was born December 6, 1921, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Harvey and Alvina (Kettler) Hertenstein. She married Gerhard F. Schulte, Jr. on July 15, 1946, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1979.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Cheryl) Schulte of Columbus, Ohio; by her grandchildren, Amanda Schulte of Columbus; Andrew (Lindsey) Schulte of Delaware, Ohio; by a great-granddaughter, Harper Schulte of Delaware. She is survived by a loving sister, Dorothy Quellhorst of New Bremen, who contributed greatly to her happiness in her final years, and also by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother-in-law, Edward Quellhorst; by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Herbert and Dorothy Cline.
Marie was a  1939 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Saint Paul's United Church of Christ in Saint Marys. She enjoyed doing embroidery work and had crocheted many afghans.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Jeanette Tangeman, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be directed to either St. Paul's United Church of Christ; the Activity Fund at Vancrest of Saint Marys; or Grand Lake Hospice.
