Alma Collins
Alma L Collins, 84, of 309 Magnolia Street, Celina, Ohio, and formerly of Saint Marys, died 3:03 A.M. Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 7, 1931, in Vest, Kentucky, the daughter of Bryan and Madge (Huff) Combs. She married Billy Collins on December 24, 1949, in Hazard, Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1996.
She is survived by her two children: Bobby Collins of Celina; Belinda Goodwin of Celina. She is survived by two grandchildren: Amber (Andy) Blake and Eric Goodwin. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Keaton Blake, Braxtyn Blake and Harlow Blake. She is survived by her siblings: Bruce Combs of Saint Marys, and Jessie Gibson of Saint Marys.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband; by her brothers, Orville Combs and John Combs; by her sisters, Clarinda Combs and Irema Campbell.
Alma graduated from Hindman High School in Hindman, Kentucky. She retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Saint Marys after 30 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her home. The love of her life was her family.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 27, 2016, at Samaria Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Marys, Pastor Jack Burns, officiant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys.
