Frances Kohn
Frances B. "Babe" Kohn, 98 of Celina, passed away at Celina Manor, Celina, OH on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:25 pm.
She was born September 19, 1917 in Upland, IN to Harry and Inez (Crawford) Waterman, both preceded her in death. Frances married Russell C. Kohn on June 14, 1942 and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1985.
Survivors include a son, Robert W. (Bethe A. Goldenfield) Stein, Pleasant Plain, OH; two grandchildren, Laura Winholt, and Beth Friend; three great grandchildren, Sarah Friend, Albert Friend and Abby Friend; a great great grandchild, Cora Friend; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Olive Toms, Marie Muether, Philip Waterman, Melvin Waterman, and Keith Waterman.
Frances was a 1935 graduate of Celina Senior High School. She worked her entire life as an artist, mainly focusing on stained glass artwork. She also co-owned Kohn Newsstand in Celina and retired from the Mercer County Sheriff's office.
Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed deeply by all.
Celebration of life services will begin at 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 19, 2016 in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the State of the Heart Hospice.
